Custom Timber Truss Design and Installation
The owners of this home in New York wanted a specialized timbered truss roof system, which fell outside the scope of the general contractor’s local resources.
Our expertise was brought in to design, hand cut, and install the trusses. From inside the home, you’ll be able to look at the vaulted ceilings and see beautiful, hand-carved trusses.
This home will be a masterpiece, worthy of the family who commissioned it.
Making A Mountain Cabin
This midcentury home was likely one of the most architecturally stunning when it was designed, but both old age and changing styles have left it out of date.
The owner’s vision was great, to have their dream home be transformed into a mountain cabin!
This modern design trend combines the best of contemporary and rustic architecture, and this home was the perfect candidate for upgrading to this style.
The owners spared no expense to turn this home into their dream mountain cabin, including new cedar siding & soffit, a custom timbered entry, and period-specific stonework.
Cantilevered decks, spiral stairs, and cable railings combine in the rear of the home to complete the mountain cabin aura.

We talked to several architects and contractors before we were referred to Greg. All of them told us that we could not do what we wanted to do to the exterior of our home — that we would betray the character of the house. But Greg immediately understood and shared our vision. Within days of our first meeting, he sent us preliminary sketches of the project, together with photos of other similar houses to help us complete the picture. Throughout the process, Greg sought and gave feedback to make sure that we were all still on the same page.
The end result is everything we had hoped it would be. We still marvel at the transformation every time we drive in the driveway. Just recently, I sent some photos of the finished product to one of the architects who had discounted our ideas. He was blown away. -Deborah Spranger
